In Vegas... Yay!

Second day in Vegas... yesterday was a blur. Ate too much, drank too much (oops, did I say that?), and definitely, didn't sleep enough. We went to bed early last night, if 2:00 a.m. is early.

7:30 a.m. is waaaay too early.














Red Rock Casino is a really, nice place! If being away from the Strip is not an issue, then I highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Las Vegas. The rooms are awesome and the restaurants are very good.

I'll post more pictures later today or tomorrow. I need to find a data cable for the wife's camera...

End may be near for Don Imus' career

I've never heard this guy on the radio, or anywhere for that matter... I know who he is and most sports fans have heard of him, however, I just don't understand the arrogance that besets these kinds of people. Nobody else can get away with saying things like this, why should he? And this time, it doesn't appear that he will. Well, at least he may no longer be doing it at WFAN in NYC...

I grew up in a time when the N-word was used derogatorily and my mother, NEVER allowed us to use the word. To this day, I do not like to hear the word and it really bothers me that the hip-hop culture has made the use of the word so pervasive amongst the youth.

I'm just very happy and proud that the children of a white mother from North Central/East Texas and a hispanic father from West Texas, are so well grounded that they do not see color.

This great country of ours is a melting pot; my own family is a melting pot - Italian, Spanish, Native American, Irish, Scottish, English, German... and that's just my kids!

I think that this headline is hyperbole, as Mr. Imus will probably end up on satellite, ala Howard Stern. That's another thing about this great country - it is the country of second chances... and third, and fourth, and so on...

This is from England so it's chock full of words, like pub, loo and mum, but other than that it's a fairly good assessment of what drives your manager crazy. My manager is a fair guy. He hates us all equally! Just kidding... our problem child left the company not too long ago.

I know I'm all over the place with my postings, but that's kind of the story of my life... I've always been "jack-of-all, master-of-none" and it's served me well. But it can also be detrimental because it comes across as unfocused or uncommitted. What are your thoughts, especially as it relates to this blog?
