AGLOCO Viewbar is now available!!

The much anticipated and LOOOOOOONG-waited AGLOCO viewbar is now available. Go download it here and start earning some cash!

Here are the instructions from the email I received tonight:

1. Go to the AGLOCO website at https://www.agloco.com/c/portal/login and login to get to your Member Account page. There is now a "Download the Viewbar" button on that page.
2. Simply click the Viewbar download button and follow the download directions. Please click "Run" when offered to Run, Save or Cancel.
3. You will need to enter your Account ID# (or email address) and your AGLOCO account password to activate your Viewbar.
4. After you download the Viewbar, you can launch it for first time by going to your Windows Start Menu and clicking on the AGLOCO Viewbar Icon.

If too many Members are downloading at the same time you may not be able to get immediate access to the Viewbar (a "timed-out" or "no access" page may appear). If this happens, please try again after a short while. If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to "viewbar.exe" and "update.exe" (please check "Permit Access Always" for proper installation of the Viewbar).

The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers. When ads start to appear on your Viewbar, please be aware that the Viewbar ad targeting system will not be fully active at first (this will not impact your accumulation of AGLOCO hours).

If you encounter any problems during the download process, please send your questions to help@agloco.com so that we can assist you.

WTF, people?

I tell you that I have a new template for my blog and you can't even be bothered to comment on it? I tell you that I have an "About" section and still, NOTHING. I mean, come on, I think the new template is good change, one that makes the site look cleaner and load faster, and the "About" section certainly says a lot... but that could just be me admiring my handiwork...

Seriously, I know you all have things going on in your life... Ilker has a new domain; Joe has a new casual gaming site; J always has something going on (I don't know what I would do with TODDLERS at this time in my life!); Heather, well hell, she's a freaking NEWS ANCHOR!; and Becky wearing her short shorts. And of course, John Chow is John Chow...

Throw me a frickin' bone here, folks...

Well?

Is AGLOCO Scumware And Violating The Law?

I've been a proponent of AGLOCO since John Chow Dot Com started writing about the program and his experience with a previous iteration of this concept. Here's his latest post. However, I'm also a realist and have never been one to cast a blind eye. I wrote previously about Kumiko's dissension and now I bring you another perspective from the dissenters, of which there are a few. As in anything, please do what you feel comfortable doing. I'm a risk-taker, within some confines - like I don't like the possibility of bodily harm, so jumping from an airplane is not a risk I wish to take, however, flying is a risk I am more than willing to take. Anyway, here's Philip Liu's perspective on AGLOCO. Philip sounds like a very smart, informed guy...

AGLOCO: Point of Dissension...

I am a member of AGLOCO; I have a link over to the right under the "My Links" section. This article from Komiko Suzuki presents a different perspective from those of John Chow and others. She has definitely made some waves... Personally, I don't know what the future holds for AGLOCO; I have "lost" some time, if you want to get technical, but in the big scheme of life it was very little. Nothing ventured; nothing gained...

AGLOCO - Own the Internet?

I have been reading up on this and, quite frankly, it seems like a reasonable opportunity. Read here what John Chow has to say about this opportunity. Then go here to sign up for your piece of the internet pie.

Review: John Chow dot Com

So in my journey that is this blog, I have come across various sites and articles of interest. One site that I have come across several times is John Chow Dot Com. This is my review of his site. As with any review, my hope is to be unbiased and fair. So here we go...

John Chow Dot Com is an exceptional site that provides a ton of ideas for business, blog monetizing and Search Engine Optimazation (SEO). Out of literally thousands of sites, John's really stands out due to his sincerity, objectivity, creativity and character. At least that is what comes across to this reviewer, and I hope that was the intent. He is also humorous and provides personal glimpses into his life that really make you feel like he's just one of the guys - a regular joe, made good. I think this "window into my life and and success" style is a key element to his ability to draw an audience.

As with anything, the site is not perfect. Mainly, I wish John would hire an editor or fire the one he currently uses. There are a few spelling errors as well as context and grammatical errors. It may be nit-picky, but quite frankly, these types of errors show a certain lack of professionalism or carelessness. In addition, John's writing style does not scale well to the inexperienced user or someone new to blogs. He tells you to do something, but expects you to figure it all out, which can be hit or miss for the newbie. All in all, these flaws DO NOT detract from the content, which is why this site is highly recommended. I hope you find the content to be as helpful to you as it was to me.
